A Heritage of Heavy Metal: Since 1952
Fabricated Metal Products, Inc. (FMP) was founded in 1952 in the industrial heart of Cudahy, Wisconsin. For over 70 years, the company has grown alongside the giants of American manufacturing; from a local shop to a globally recognized Tier-1 partner for the world’s most demanding OEMs.
The story is written in the steel of the bridges drivers cross, the mines that fuel the world economy, and the locomotives that traverse the continent. The industry has changed. The mission has not: “Committed to a Higher Standard.”

Our Mission
Fabricated Metal Products is “Committed to a Higher Standard” of Quality, Service, and Value for our customers through the continuous pursuit of improvements in manufacturing, technology, and performance. By consistently applying appropriate best practices and maintaining a thorough and responsive understanding of our customers’ requirements, the ultimate goal is to exceed expectations — not just meet them.
Leadership
The FMP leadership team combines decades of hands-on fabrication experience with the strategic insight required for global supply chain management.

The Facility: Scale in Cudahy
Located on 13 acres just south of Milwaukee, the FMP facility is a 90,000-square-foot powerhouse of industrial capacity.
Lifting Power: 50-ton overhead crane capacity. FMP is built for the heavy work; massive plates and complex weldments move with speed and safety.
The Equipment: The floor features the Kinetic K2500 (400-amp plasma with CNC contour beveling), the C&G Systems with Burny Phantom CNC (12″ oxy-fuel capacity), the 3,000-ton Clearing forge, the 600-ton Cincinnati press brake, the TOS WH105 horizontal boring mill, Viper VMC machining centers, and the Faro Arm CMM. Millions invested in the machinery required to shape materials like AR400 and manganese steel.
The Workflow: The site layout follows the “FMP Chain”; a logical progression from plate cutting to forming, welding, machining, finishing, and final assembly. Material flows in one direction. No backtracking. No bottlenecks.
Our People
While the machines are massive, FMP’s success is driven by the skilled hands of the workforce. AWS-certified welders, expert machinists, and precision operators who take pride in the “Milwaukee-made” label.
In an era of automation, the human element is irreplaceable, especially when it comes to warm welding of manganese or the nuanced setup of a 3,000-ton forging press. Customers aren’t just getting machine time. They’re getting the collective wisdom of 70+ years of Wisconsin manufacturing.
FMP has built its success on the hard work, quality, and innovation of its people. The company is always seeking qualified welders, machine operators, machinists, and material handlers who share the commitment to a higher standard.

Why Full-Service Matters
The greatest pain point for a buyer is the “vendor hop.” When a project moves from a cutter to a former to a welder to a machinist, risk and delay compound at every handoff.
FMP eliminates that risk. Everything under one roof; one quality system, one point of contact, one set of standards:
- Dimensional Control: Post-weld machining ensures thermal distortion is wiped away
- Lead Time Reduction: No freight lag between vendors
- Absolute Accountability: If a part doesn’t meet spec, there’s no finger-pointing. FMP owns the project from start to finish.
Milwaukee Manufacturing Identity
Cudahy and the greater Milwaukee area were built on heavy industry. FMP is proud to be part of this heritage, contributing to the local economy, supporting the regional manufacturing corridor, and upholding the blue-collar brilliance that has made Wisconsin a global hub for heavy machinery and infrastructure.
